Buyers Have The Power in Gwinnett County Housing

I read this article from MSNBC.com this morning and wanted to share it with you. The reality of the current housing market is this. Sellers must price their homes to sell. If a home is not priced competitively or aggressively (there is a difference) then Buyers will not take a hard look at your home.

Buyers also need to be aware that getting a loan is not what it used to be. If you are planning on purchasing a home in sixty days, now is the time to get moving on finding a lender, getting ALL your loan documents prepared and be ready for a higher down payment that what you probably are expecting.

Here is a link to the article:

Need more information on buying or selling a home? Give me a call. The time is now. Remember the $8,000 tax credit program is getting close to ending.

Do you know someone who has recently bought a Foreclosure?

Have you or someone you know recently purchased a foreclosed home?  If so, you may be entitled to a refund from the county in which you live.  Please know, I do not provide this service, merely the information that can help you get what is rightfully owed to you.  There is a little known exemption that very few people know about and is rarely taken at closing.

On a $300,000 purchase you may be able to receive up to $300 back from the County.

Please feel to contact me for more information.

"It's On" Gwinnett County – Southwest Airlines Ad Campaign

Over the past week or so you may have seen Southwest Airlines new commercials with the theme “It’s On”. If you have not I have posted a link to one of the commercials picked up from You Tube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnvOlI7sgdo

This is such a creative ad campaign and one that truly hit home for me. Yes it is “On” now is the time for each of us to drag ourselves up from our bootstraps and get out there and go. The economy is turning and will only move forward if each of us has the attitude that “It’s On”

I laid awake last night for over an hour thinking about that commercial because I was so pumped. I never thought a commercial could get me so fired up to get moving and change the direction we all have been dealing with. We all have been through some pretty rough times over the past couple of years. I do not know of anyone who has not had to deal with some type of hardship recently and now is the time to get moving forward.

So what are you doing to get “It On”?

We all need to change our own attitudes and patterns of the past couple of years and get this country moving in the right direction.  No matter what your political or social views are, the fact remains that each of us will contribute to the rise of this country and we need to get “IT ON”.

Gwinnett Braves to host first "Bark in the Park" Night

superdog2My family and I went to our first Gwinnett Braves game a week or so ago and had a blast! We were able to tailgate prior to the game, had great seats and even got a tour of the facilty.

If you have not been to a game this year, it is well worth the money spent. Tickets are inexpensive and the atmosphere is awesome.  Take the time to get out there and cheer on the G-Braves.

The staff was tremendous, food was reasonable and the team is playing pretty good baseball.

Also, next Thursday June 11 will be a special day Gwinnett Braves fans and their best friends. During the first ever Bark in the Park at Gwinnett Stadium, fans will be allowed to bring their dog inside with them to enjoy the game. Fans must be seated in the berm with their dogs and will have the opportunity to participate in a few canine-themed contests.

Hope to see you there.
